Valentine Sweets Class

This cute little box holds 2 -3 Ghiradelli chocolate squares perfectly! Made using the A-2 Box die from Sizzix, then embellished with Stampin' Up! 2012 SAB DSP, Pool Party baker's twine, various cardstocks and stamps.

For these treat card cups, we used Stampin' Up's heart shaped treat cups.   In the second picture, you can see that the M&Ms can be removed without destroying the card.  Red hot candies or conversation hearts, even sunflower seeds, would be great in these.  I used the Love Sparkles Simply Scrappin' Kit to create these.  These kits come with everything you need - card stock, designer series paper, embellishment stickers and borders!

5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (half sheet card stock) for base
4" x 4" for background layer 1 (chocolate chip)
3 3/4" x 3" for layer 2 (striped DSP)
3" x 2" card stock for candy stopper
1 1/4" circle punch, Large heart punch, corner rounder
Heart treat cups
Miscellaneous embellishments, A stamp for the sentiment
Stampin' Dimensionals, glue, ribbon

On the card front, from the top, slide the circle punch down until it stops and punch out a circle. Put glue along the edges of layer 1 (brown layer) and glue over the circle on the card front.  Slide the circle punch down again and line up with the punched circle.  Punch out the brown layer.  Slide the heart punch up layer 2 (striped paper) until it stops, center L/R and punch out a heart.  Save this to decorate with.  With the treat cup sitting on the table, put a few dabs of glue along the lip on the top - NOT the side with the peel off paper. Put layer 2 over the treat cup and gently press to adhere.  Flip this over.  On the back, put 1 dimensional in each upper corner, and 1 dimensional on each side of the heart cup point at the bottom.  These need to be here to stop the candy blocker from sliding all the way through. Peel off the dimensional backs and center treat cup layer on brown layer.  Not all of the circle will be showing behind the cup.  That is ok - you just need enough so the M&Ms can fit out.  Decorate the front of the card as you like.  To make the candy stopper, round the corners of the 3" x 2" piece of card stock and decorate.  Open the card and fill the cup from the back with candies.  While still open, slide the stopper in between layers 1 & 2.  Turn the card over and admire your work :)

The last thing we made today: 4 postcard style valentines.  This was super easy to do using Stampin' Up's Postage Square Punch, various DSP, and the P.S. I Love You and the Valentine Defined stamp sets.  Glue the "stamp" in the upper right hand corner, along with a 1" circle to represent the postmark.  Decorate the front, then on the back stamp an image and a greeting.  What an easy and super cute card idea for co-workers!
